Description
I wanted to show the beauty of a ring-billed Gull. We often think of them as pests, but they contribute to the ecosystem. Gulls can act as indicators of environmental health. Changes in gull populations or behaviors can signal shifts in local ecosystems, such as pollution levels, availability of food sources, or habitat changes. By consuming a wide range of food sources, gulls help recycle nutrients back into the ecosystem. Their droppings provide essential nutrients for plants and other organisms.
